Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information our website (mntsolutions.ca) and our mobile applications (collectively, "our apps") collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your choices regarding that information. It applies to all applications published by MNT Solutions Inc. on the Apple App Store and other platforms, including those that provide AI-powered chat or text-generation features.

##1. Information We Process

  • Information You provide

- **Prompts, messages, and chat input**: text you type into our apps when using a chat or AI-generation feature (your message, any intensity or style selection, and any follow-up refinement instructions). This text is the input we need to generate a response.
- **Email address** (optional): if you contact us at ITSupport@mntsolutions.ca.
 

  • Information Processed On-Device Only

- **Photos and other attachments**: when an app allows you to attach a photo or file to a prompt, the attachment is processed entirely on your device. We do not upload the original image or file to our servers or to any third party. Only the resulting text prompt is sent to our backend.

- **Chat history**: your conversations are stored locally on your device (in iOS UserDefaults or equivalent on-device storage). They are NOT synced to our servers.

  • Information We Do Not Collect

- We do not collect your name, phone number, precise location, contacts, health data, biometrics, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or behavioral analytics.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, social-login SDKs, Firebase, AppsFlyer, Facebook SDK, or comparable trackers.

  • Subscription and Purchase Data

In-app subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We use **Apphud Inc.** as our subscription management provider; Apphud receives an anonymous user identifier and the subscription state (active/expired/refunded) from Apple. Apphud does not receive your prompts, attachments, or any content of your chats. Their privacy policy is available at https://apphud.com/privacy.

##2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Generate AI replies and other text-generation results (process the prompt you submitted and return the result).
- Operate, maintain, and improve our apps.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations.

We do **not** use your prompts for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. We do not train any machine-learning models on your prompts.

##3. AI Processing - Google Gemini

To generate responses, your text prompt is transmitted from our backend infrastructure (hosted under the `mntsolutions.ca` domain) to **Google's Generative AI API**, specifically models in the **Gemini** family operated by Google LLC.

- **What is sent**: only the text content of your prompt and the recent text conversation history (up to the last 20 messages), so the AI can produce a contextually relevant reply.
- **What is NOT sent**: photos or other binary attachments, your Apple ID, your name, your device identifiers, or any account credentials. Your IP address is not forwarded — requests are proxied through our server.
- **Google's role**: Google acts as our sub-processor for AI generation. According to Google's terms for paid Gemini API usage, Google does not use API prompts or responses to train its models. - **Retention on our backend**: our server does not store the content of your prompts. Prompts are forwarded to Google and the response is returned to your device; nothing is persisted server-side after the request completes.

##4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing your prompts is:
- **Performance of a contract** (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): we need to process your prompt to deliver the AI response you requested.
- **Consent** (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): the first time you use the AI feature you are shown an in-app disclosure and must tap "Agree and Continue" before any prompt leaves your device.

##5.  International Transfers 
Google's Gemini infrastructure may process your prompt in data centres outside your country, including in the United States. These transfers are protected by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards described in Google's Data Processing Addendum.

##6.  Data Retention 

- **On your device**: chat history persists until you delete it from the app or uninstall the app.
- **On our backend**: nothing is retained. Prompts are processed in real-time and discarded.
- **Email correspondence** with ITSupport@mntsolutions.ca is kept for up to 24 months for support continuity, then deleted.

##7.  Your Rights 

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information ("right to erasure").
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Withdraw consent (you can revoke consent at any time by deleting the app; future prompts will then not be sent).
- File a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email ITSupport@mntsolutions.ca. We respond within 30 days.

##8.  Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and individual apps may carry higher age ratings on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we may have collected information from a child, contact ITSupport@mntsolutions.ca and we will delete it.

##9.  Security

We use HTTPS / TLS for all network traffic between our apps and our backend, and between our backend and Google. Requests are authenticated with HMAC-SHA256 signatures. We cannot, however, guarantee absolute security; no internet transmission is 100% secure.

##10.  Third-Party Services Summary

We do not engage advertising networks, analytics providers, or social-media SDKs.

##11.  Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or on this page; the "Effective date" at the top will be updated. Continued use of our apps after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
